IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION

Use Responsibly. Read all instructions and safety information before use.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR OTHER INJURY OR DAMAGE.

BATTERY SAFETY (Blink Video Doorbell, Blink Indoor Cameras, Blink Outdoor Camera, Blink XT2 Camera, Blink XT Camera, and Battery Expansion Pack)

The Lithium batteries accompanying this device cannot be recharged. Do not open, disassemble, bend, deform, puncture, or shred the battery. Do not modify, attempt to insert foreign objects into the battery or immerse or expose to water or other liquids. Do not expose the battery to fire, explosion, high temperature or other hazard. Fires involving lithium batteries can usually be controlled with flooding with water, except in confined spaces where a smothering agent should be used.

If dropped and you suspect damage, take steps to prevent any ingestion or direct contact of fluids and any other materials from the battery with skin or clothes. If a battery leaks, remove all batteries and recycle or dispose of them in accordance with battery manufacturer’s recommendations. If fluid or other material from the battery comes into contact with skin or clothes, flush skin or clothes with water immediately. An open battery should never be exposed to water, as fire or explosion may result from exposure to water. Insert the batteries in the proper direction as indicated by positive (+) and negative (-) markings in battery compartment. CAUTION: Always replace with non-rechargeable AA 1.5V Lithium batteries (lithium metal batteries) specified for this product. Use of incorrect battery types may pose a risk of explosion.

Do not mix used and new batteries or batteries of different types (for example, Lithium and alkaline batteries). Always remove old, weak, or worn-out batteries promptly and recycle or dispose of them in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Other Safety Considerations

  • Your Blink Indoor and Outdoor Camera systems, Sync Module 2, Sync Module, and Blink Mini are shipped with an AC adapter and should only be used with the AC power adapter and USB cable included in box. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock when using the AC adapter, carefully follow these instructions:

    • Do not force the power adapter into a power outlet.

    • Do not expose power adapter or its cable to liquids. If your device or adapter gets wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the device and adapter to dry before plugging them in again. Do not attempt to dry your device or adapter with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or a hair dryer.

    • If the power adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.

    • To avoid risk of electric shock, do not touch your device or any wires connected to your device during a lightning storm.

  • Use only accessories supplied with the device to power your device. Do not plug multiple electric devices into the same wall socket. Overloading a socket can cause it to overheat and may result in a fire.

  • Use of third-party accessories may impact your Device’s performance. In limited circumstances, use of third-party accessories may void your Device’s limited warranty. In addition, use of incompatible third-party accessories may lead to damage to your Devices or the accessory. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your Device.

  • Closely supervise children when the device is used by or near children.

  • Do not touch your device or any wires connected to your device during a lightning storm.

  • To protect against electric shock, do not place cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquids.

  • Small parts contained in your device and its accessories may present a choking hazard to small children.

  • Blink Indoor Cameras, Sync Module 2, Sync Module, and Blink Mini are for indoor use only.

  • Handle your device and its accessories with care. Your device and its accessories may have pointed edges which can lead to scratches, cuts, or other physical injury.

  • Install your power adapter in an easily accessible socket-outlet located near the equipment that will be plugged into or powered by the adapter.

Maintaining Your Blink Devices (Blink Indoor Cameras, Blink Outdoor Camera, Blink XT2 Camera, Blink XT Camera, Sync Module 2, Sync Module, Blink Mini, and Blink Accessories)

Care Instructions for Blink Non-Weather-Resistant Devices (Blink Indoor Cameras, Sync Module 2, Sync Module, Blink Mini, and Blink Accessories)

Do not use the Blink Non-Weather-Resistant Devices, including the power adapter, near sinks or other wet locations (the Blink Outdoor Camera, Blink XT2 Camera, Blink XT Camera, and Battery Expansion Pack, however, can withstand outdoor use and contact with water as described in the section below).  Take care not to spill any food or liquid on your Blink Non-Weather-Resistant Devices and do not put any object filled with a liquid, such as a vase, on or near them.

If the Blink Non-Weather-Resistant Devices do get wet, carefully unplug any cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the devices to dry completely before plugging them in again. Do not attempt to dry them with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair dryer.

Do not expose your Blink Non-Weather-Resistant Devices to steam, extreme heat, or cold. For example, do not install them near any heat sources such as space heaters, heater vents, radiators, stoves, or other things that produce heat.

The Sync Module 2 and Sync Module and their accessories may get warm during normal use. To reduce the effect of the warming, place the Sync Module 2 or Sync Module on a heat resistant surface. If you find the Sync Module 2 or Sync Module has become hot to the touch, unplug the power adapter (or remove the batteries) and let it cool down for a few minutes before handling. If you find the device has become hot to the touch, unplug power (or remove batteries) and let it cool down for a few minutes before handling.

Care Instructions for Blink Weather-Resistant Devices (Blink Outdoor Camera, Blink XT2 Camera, Blink XT Camera, and Battery Expansion Pack)

The Blink Weather-Resistant Devices can withstand outdoor use and contact with water under normal use subject to product specifications. However, your Blink Weather-Resistant Devices are not intended for underwater use.

Do not intentionally immerse your Blink Weather-Resistant Devices in water or expose it to liquids. Do not spill any food, oil, lotion, or other abrasive substances on your Blink Weather-Resistant Devices. Do not expose your Blink Weather-Resistant Devices to pressurized water, high velocity water, or extremely humid conditions (such as a steam room).

Cleaning Instructions for Blink Non-Weather-Resistant Devices (Blink Indoor Cameras, Sync Module 2, Sync Module, Blink Mini, and Blink Accessories)

Only handle your Blink Non-Weather-Resistant Devices (hereinafter referred to collectively as “Device” or “Devices”) with clean hands. Clean your Devices only with a soft cloth that is slightly damp with water and a touch of rubbing alcohol; be careful not to wipe them with anything abrasive or to use any harsh chemicals.

Using Your Blink Devices (Blink Indoor Cameras, Blink Outdoor Camera, Blink XT2 Camera, Blink XT Camera, Sync Module 2, Sync Module, Blink Mini, and Blink Accessories) Around Other Electronic Devices

Blink Devices generate, use, and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with its instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment. External RF signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic operating systems, entertainment systems, and personal medical devices. While most modern electronic equipment is shielded from external RF signals, if in doubt, check with the manufacturer. For personal medical devices (such as pacemakers and hearing aids), consult with your physician or the manufacturer to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF signals.
