If the Blink Indoor Camera, Sync Module, or its accessories do get wet, carefully unplug any cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the devices to dry completely before plugging them in again. Do not attempt to dry them with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair dryer.

Do not expose your Sync Module or Blink Indoor Camera or its accessories to steam, extreme heat, or cold. For example, do not install them near any heat sources such as space heaters, heater vents, radiators, stoves, or other things that produce heat.

The Sync Module and its accessories may get warm during normal use. To reduce the effect of the warming, place the Sync Module on a heat resistant surface. If you find the Sync Module has become hot to the touch, unplug the power adapter (or remove the batteries) and let it cool down for a few minutes before handling. If you find the device has become hot to the touch, unplug power (or remove batteries) and let it cool down for a few minutes before handling.

Care Instructions for Blink XT and XT2 Cameras

The Blink XT and XT2 Cameras can withstand outdoor use and contact with water under certain conditions. However, your Blink XT or XT2 Camera is not intended for underwater use and may experience temporary effects from exposure to water or other weather conditions. Do not intentionally immerse your Blink XT or XT2 Camera in water or expose it to liquids. Do not spill any food, oil, lotion, or other abrasive substances on your Blink XT or XT2 Camera. Cleaning Instructions for Blink Indoor Camera, Blink XT Cameras, Sync Module, and Accessories

Only handle your Blink Indoor Camera, Blink XT and XT2 Cameras, Sync Module, and accessories (hereinafter referred to collectively as “Device” or “Devices”) with clean hands. Clean your Devices only with a soft cloth that is slightly damp with water and a touch of rubbing alcohol; be careful not to wipe them with anything abrasive or to use any harsh chemicals.

Other Safety Considerations

  • Your Sync Module is shipped with an AC adapter. Your Sync Module should only be used with the AC power adapter and USB cable included in box. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock when using the AC adapter, carefully follow these instructions:
    • Do not force the power adapter into a power outlet.
    • Do not expose power adapter or its cable to liquids.
    • If the power adapter or cable appears damaged, discontinue use immediately.
    • Power adapter designed only for use with Blink devices.
  • Do not plug multiple electric devices into the same wall socket. Overloading a socket can cause it to overheat and may result in a fire.
  • Use of third-party accessories may impact your Device’s performance. In limited circumstances, use of third-party accessories may void your Device’s limited warranty. In addition, use of incompatible third-party accessories may lead to damage to your Devices or the accessory. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your Device.
  • Closely supervise children when the device is used by or near children.
  • Do not touch your device or any wires connected to your device during a lightning storm.
  • To protect against electric shock, do not place cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquids.
  • Small parts contained in your device and its accessories may present a choking hazard to small children.
  • Sync module is for indoor use only.
  • Handle your device and its accessories with care. Your device and its accessories may have pointed edges which can lead to scratches, cuts, or other physical injury.

Using Your Blink Devices Around Other Electronic Devices

Blink devices generate, use, and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with its instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment. External RF signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic operating systems, entertainment systems, and personal medical devices. While most modern electronic equipment is shielded from external RF signals, if in doubt, check with the manufacturer. For personal medical devices (such as pacemakers and hearing aids), consult with your physician or the manufacturer to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF signals.
